Climbing the Rock of Great Saint, is performed by using equipment along the ancient trail, which was carved on the edge of the rock, with amazing views over Meteora and Kalabaka.\u00a0 The route was used during the Middle Ages, by monks who used to live in the now deserted monastery of the Twelve Apostles (Dodeka Apostoloi). The Rock of Great Saint, was a fort thousands of years ago.\u00a0 It&#8217;s really worth visiting this place for an experience you won&#8217;t forget.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The route combines easy climbing at first, and then a lot of hiking in a horizontal line, traversing a narrow path, carved on the edge of the rock, on the side of Meteora, carved by monks many
